Vineyard School Supply Drive Kicks Off!

This will be our fifth year supporting Fairwood Elementary School on Columbus’ near east side with vital school supplies.   In a place where the need is great and the funding is limited, VTC has become a reliable friend and provider for a group of hardworking teachers, administrators, and students.

Last year was our biggest drive ever.  We collected a truck-full of supplies that was greatly appreciated by the Principal and the teachers at Fairwood.

This year the need is even greater.  We will be collecting through August 14th (that could change) and delivering the supplies Monday August 16th (that could change)  via a rented truck.

To get involved you can donate cash, or actually go out as one of the School Supply Mania Bargain Shoppers and bring your supplies to the church.   It has been hilarious hearing the amazing bargain hunting stories people have.  Good luck.  Happy shopping. God is definitely with you in this effort!

Some of the Items We are Collecting

Pencils, Colored Pencils, Erasable Markers (thick — not thin), Pencil Sharpeners, Lined Notebook Paper, Plastic 3 Ring Binders, Note Pads, Rulers, Elmers Glue, Glue Sticks, Erasers, Pens, Copy Paper, Crayons, Rulers, and more.

Names of God Devotional

God revealed his nature in the old testament many times. Each time He did, a name was ascribed to Him that we might know Him better. Maggie found this great devotional worship and meditation video featuring the names of God. Enjoy.

Faith — Neville Johnson

Here is another great teaching by Neville Johnson.  In Hebrews it says that faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.  Consider the idea of Faith as a tangible SPIRITUAL SUBSTANCE.  Enjoy.

Feel God’s Presence on This Song and Video

When I first watched this video and heard this song a few months ago, I couldn’t help but cry as I felt the presence of God. Get alone with God and “enter in” with this song.

Top 10 Most Anointed Songs December 2009

Here’s a post that is just begging for comments and disagreement. On a personal level, I am hoping to hear about some songs I am not familiar with that I can add to my collection. These are songs that are not necessarily NEW, but are songs that (I believe) when you play them consistently carry the presence of God when you sing them or hear them. Here they are in no particular order. Anything missing?

Your Love Never Fails – Chris Quilala
Mighty to Save – Hillsongs
How He Loves Us – Kim Walker
I Exalt Thee – Chris Quilala
I Will Rise – Chris Tomlin
At the Cross – Hillsong
I Love Your Presence – Scott Underwood
Oh Lord, You’re Beautiful — Keith Green
What a Friend I’ve Found – Delirious
You Never Let Go – Matt Redman

He Loves Us by Kim Walker

Kim Walker from Bethel Church in Redding, California is just an anointed worshipper. This video is anointed too! A lot of great music is coming out of their Jesus Culture.

Paul Baloche on Making Room for One Another Musically as a Worship Team

Paul Baloche is a famous worship leader who has written songs like “Open the Eyes of My Heart” and “God of Wonders”, but he really is worship leader who knows how to flow in the Spirit and how to bring a team of different musicians and instruments together. Here is a great 8 minutes on creating “space” for one another. (after you watch the first video via YouTube, there are several others that go with it) Enjoy.

Eyes of the Heart – Neville Johnson

Here is a great teaching from Neville Johnson on how to perceive God’s voice with the eyes of your heart.
